Bicycles

Beach cruiser bikes are available for use during your stay. Choose from the selection of adult and kids bikes in the shed. One tandem bicycle is also available.

Beach Gear

Don’t load your car down with beach gear, just use ours! We have beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, kits, beach games, boogie boards, buckets and spades, sunscreen, Frisbees, and crabbing equipment. Just add some beach lunches prepared by us (see below) and you’re good to go!

Picnic Lunches

Available for $25, a beach lunch, prepared by us in a convenient cooler would be perfect for a full day at the beach. Each lunch consists of a sandwich (choice of deli meat, cheese, and condiments), a small salad or raw veggies/dip, fruit, a treat (e.g., granola bar or muffin), and a cold beverage. Vegetarian, vegan, nut-free, lactose-free, and gluten-free options are available.

Entertainment

Each guest room has an extensive selection of books, perfect for beach reading, as well as free wifi and a smart/Roku TV. You will find plenty of board and card games, plus inside information about the town and Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, throughout the house. Additionally, there is a large screen smart/Roku TV in the living room.

Yoga Nidra

Said to regulate the autonomic nervous system, Yoga Nidra is the ultimate relaxation technique for releasing stress and tension held in your body. Literally meaning “Yogic Sleep,“ let our 20-minute guided meditation take you to a place of deep relaxation where your senses, mind, and intellect can completely let go and rest.

Teeter Inversion Table

Remember hanging upside down on the playground as a kid, feeling all stretched out as you looked out at the world from “down under”? Back then, it was fun. But as an adult spending time upside down on an inversion table can be both therapeutic and beneficial. Potential benefits of regular inversion use include improved flexibility, help with spinal traction, reduced back pain, discomfort, and muscle spasms, help with compressed spinal disks, sciatica pain, and kidney stones. Inversion therapy may even boost mood, reducing anxiety, anger, and even depression. Could be the increased blood flow to the brain! Note that our 30-minute sessions have weight and health restrictions; you must complete and sign a waiver prior to your session.

InLight Therapy Treatment

We use an FDA Class II medical device for our InLight Therapy treatment, which is a non-thermal method employing light-emitting diodes (LEDs) embedded in neoprene pads. LED light energy serves as a valuable asset for fostering health, wellness, and vitality. Powerful LED induced photon energy yields therapeutic benefits through photobiomodulation (PBM) which increases circulation and supports the body’s innate healing processes. InLight Therapy can be used to treat inflammation and swelling, bone fractures, bruises, burns, non-healing wounds, peripheral neuropathy, tight muscles, mood disorders, skin conditions. The benefits of PBM include pain alleviation, enhanced circulation, reduced inflammation, immune response regulation, and facilitation of wound healing and tissue revitalization. Sessions are 20 minutes long in the privacy of your room and require you to complete and sign a waiver.

Afternoon Tea

Three- or four-course afternoon teas are served on select afternoons (TBD) at 2pm. The cost is $40 per person. Our selection of teas include black teas such Assam, Ceylon, Darjeeling, green teas, flavored teas, and herb teas. Iced tea is also available. The first course consists of savory appetizers and hors d’oeuvres and on occasion a soup. The second course is tea sandwiches such as cucumber, smoked salmon, chicken salad, ham and cheese. The third course is our scones, made from scratch with butter and served with assorted jams and Devon cream. The fourth course consists of a selection of fresh baked tortes, cakes, brownies, puddings, and/or cookies. Vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are available with a 24-hour notice.

Charcuterie & Cheese Plate with or without Wine

Gourmet charcuterie & cheese plates featuring a selection of fine charcuterie and hard and soft cheeses, along with olives and a variety of crackers are available with a 24-hour notice for $30. Add a bottle of wine, red, white, or rose for $20. Nut-free and gluten-free options are available.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Champagne

Treat your sweetheart to perfectly ripe strawberries dipped in dark chocolate and some bubbly for $50.
