Welcome to Island Time!

The Amazing Victorian Bed & Breakfast Vacation Stay Will be Closing for the Season in mid-November 2024 but the Whole House can be Booked as a 4-Bedroom Holiday Home for the Weeks of Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years, Easter, and other Holidays.

The Inn at Poplar Corner B&B oozes Victorian charm from top to bottom. Located in the heart of the Island, at the corner of Poplar and Main, you can walk to restaurants, shops, downtown, and to the Robert Reed Waterfront Park, where summer concerts are held and the best sunsets can be viewed. The wrap-around front porch directly faces the Bay and has plenty of comfy wicker furniture beckoning you to relax, sit a spell, and take in that salty sea air. The guest rooms, comfortably furnished with Victorian antiques, are air conditioned, spacious, and quiet with sitting areas for reading and relaxing. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub.

We had a very successful reopening, with lots of lovely guests staying at the Inn this past August and September. All August/September guests were entered in the raffle to win a three-night stay at the Inn, all amenities included. And the winner is RUTH HAYS!

Made-to-order breakfasts are served every morning and special four-course teas featuring tea sandwiches and European pastries served select afternoons!

Breakfast, oh the possibilities!

How about Belgian waffles with berries, whipped cream, maple syrup, and a side of sausage or bacon? Or perhaps a three-egg omelet stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese served with crusty bread? Or, for those who want healthier fare, baked oatmeal with berries and honey, served with a side of low-fat chicken sausage? Coffee, cappuccino (decaf is available) and a selection of teas, along with juice, complete your meal.

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are all available, with prior notice.

Imagine a vacation with a diversity of experiences: pony watching, rocket launches on Wallops Island, the world’s best ice cream, sunbathing on the beach, dolphin watching, crabbing, clamming, and fishing, climbing Assateague Island lighthouse, birding, watching the sunset, kayaking, canoeing, and boating … and of course enjoying all that delicious seafood!
